Day 5 – Mon: Santiago de Compostela, Rias Bajas, La Toga, Vigo
After breakfast at the hotel, departure towards the Rias Bajas, one of the most marvelous areas of Galicia known as the Spanish Fjords. Driving through this magnificent landscape we will arrive to La Toja Island, univer- sally known for its spa. Free time and continue to the Ria de Arosa, passing through Pontevedra to arrive to Vigo, situated in the middle of the Rias Baixas. Overnight accommodation in Vigo. [B]
Day 6 – Tue: Vigo, Viana do Castelo, Braga, Oporto
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Portuguese border. Arrive to Viana do Castelo, city located between the mouth of the river Minho and Porto. Free time and continue to Braga. Short stop and continue to Oporto for overnight accommodation. [B]
Day 7 – Wed: Oporto, Salamanca, Madrid
Breakfast. Panoramic sightseeing tour of Porto, considered World Heritage city. We admire the Cathedral, Stock Exchange building and Santa Clara church. Departure to the Spanish border to arrive to Salamanca. Short stop and free time in this university
city (World Heritage) of great architec- tural and artistic wealth. Continue to Madrid for overnight. [B]
Day 8 – Thu: Madrid
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before starting your visit of Madrid. After an extensive city sightseeing tour we´ll visit the inside of the impressive Royal Palace, former residence of the Spanish Kings and beautifully fur- nished and decorated. You will be able to admire the official Reception rooms, the Museum area, the Royal Chapel, the Throne Room and the private rooms of King Carlos III and
Queen Isabel II. After the visit you will be just in the center of the city with easy access to restaurants and shops. Those interested in art are less than 10 minutes walking from the Prado Museum or Reina Sofia Museum. Those wanting to visit more of old Madrid may take a leisurely walk to Puerta del Sol and continue to Plaza Mayor, enjoy a drink or lunch at one of the many terraces. The time is yours to use at your content. Overnight at the hotel. [B]
Day 9 – Fri: Madrid, USA
Have breakfast at your hotel and be ready for the transfer to Madrid Airport for your flight to the USA. [B]
