Seamless transition
Fiona’s focus is on enabling a smooth pastoral transition from primary school to Scott House and then to Laxton House, or a boarding House, for the Third Form upwards.
“To support with these transitions, I will work very closely with staff at LJS and other feeder schools, Madame Sophie Fonteneau, the Housemistress of the Berrystead, and Dr Penny Rowe, Academic Head of Lower Years,” Fiona explained.
“Dr Rowe will oversee all things academic for the First, Second and Third Form pupils, and therefore can support the academic transition to Laxton House. Mr Sanderson, Head of Third Form and Deputy in Laxton, and Mrs Viv Gascoine, Head of Laxton, will support the pastoral transition into the Third Form.”
The team is in place, the House has been transformed and Scott House is now an intrinsic part of the Oundle School landscape.
