Easy guide to creating your own sign
Whilst Stocksigns prides itself on having a comprehensive range of signs, we also appreciate that every workplace is different with differing signage requirements, and there are times when a bespoke message maybe required.
As part of our service we aim to offer the ultimate in exibility and our Design A Sign service does just this.
Many purchasers require alternative health and safety signs based on the sign types below.
Choosing to incorporate a company name or logo is a good way to promote or re-inforce your brand.
1. Select a Sign Type
Pick the type of sign from the choices below to help you convey your message clearly.
Prohibition
A red circular band with diagonal cross bar on a white background, the symbol within the circle to be black denoting a safety sign that indicates that a certain behaviour is prohibited.
Hazard
A yellow triangle with black border and symbol within the yellow area denoting a safety sign that gives warning of a hazard.
Mandatory
A blue circle with white symbol denoting a sign that indicates that a speci c course of action must be taken.
2. Select a Symbol
Choose any health and safety symbol within this catalogue and use its product code to tell us which one you require
3. Choose Your Text
Decide on the text you require. Short informative text is best.
4. Decide Your Layout
Decide if your sign should be landscape or portrait sign.
5. Choose Your Size and Material
Select the size for your sign from the table below. Choose a material from our wide selection shown on page 2.
6. Supply Your Artwork Files
If you require a logo or speci c fonts this must be supplied
in the agreed format. Stocksigns use Adobe illustrator, a vector graphics application which can be scaled up to any size without degradation. Native Illustrator les upto CC2018 or pdf & Eps les are acceptable. Please note that images such as jpgs etc must be high resolution and embedded into the le.We are unable to print from artwork supplied in word format.
Fire Equipment
A red rectangle or square with symbol in white denoting a safety sign that indicates the location of re ghting equipment.
Safe Condition
A green rectangle or square with symbol or text in white denoting a safety sign providing information about safe conditions.
Combination Sign
A sign containing a combination of symbols and text with a choice of red, blue or yellow colours to convey more than just a speci c message.

7. Place Your Order
Send a drawing of how you would like you sign to look.This
can be scanned and e-mailed to sales@stocksigns.co.uk .Your account manager will send a formal quote and a visual of your sign.Your customised sign will be with you within 5 working days.
