(m – 2)x + (2m – 3)y + 2m + 5 = 0
For equations to have no solution,
a1 =b1 ≠c1 a2 b2 c2
a1 = 5, b1 = 4, c1 = – 10
a2 = m – 2, b2 =2m – 3, c2 = 2m + 5
5 = 4 ≠–10 m−2 2m−3 2m+5
So,
5=4
m−2 2m−3
5(2m – 3) = 4(m – 2)
10m – 15 = 4m – 8 6m = 7
m=7 6
