Would it still not take?
The connections we crave The voices we wish to hear,
The arms of loved ones,
The songs we use to sing in cars The trips we took for granted
full of sweaty legs and foreheads all while sharing the same space.
Coldly calculating
That’s what it is
Corona by any other name Would still be a plague
Coldly calculating The irony is evident
One corona
breeds faster than the other
The Coldly Calculating friend with lime, aides the plague to travel blindly bringing borders to close.
And with it
the boomers of the last generation
to sleep infinitely
While the millenials of great nations are forced:
to stand tall through clouds of paranoia and fear,
to mourn the loss of the old ones by swimming through their tears.
Coldly calculating without lime Corona,
We will survive your icy grip
And tip the world back into balance With a millennial’s grit.
