Tears
What does it mean to tear? Bear the loads too hard to hear, Leak them out beneath the ear, Reflect the insides out.
Then there may be ugly sobs, Hitched breaths upon the lungs, Burns the soul to see you breathe, What a pain to be.
And what of others, what they think? As into your own darkness sink,
Your thoughts and every weakest link, You see within yourself.
The story never seems to end, Yet with every break and bend, A future just to apprehend, And hope that it is swell.
So don’t hide your sob-soaked face, With each tender finger they will trace, The empathetic and the kind,
Will walk within your mind.
