WHAT IT TAKES
It takes many groups, people, and hands to make the Stampede happen! Each one is important, and without all of them, the Stampede would not be a success! Especially after these past two years of dealing with forced cancellations.
The Stampede was started by a group of volunteers that were civic, community minded individuals. They came together with a heart to give back to, and better, the community in which they lived! They knew they would need help and quickly built a strong volunteer base that has continually been expanded on through the years! We are blessed to have many of our Volunteer staff come back year after year and that is since the Stampede started!
So when you visit us at the Stampede, as you purchase your ticket from our Welcoming ticket crew, or pass through the gates, or buy a token for your favorite beverage, or notice the clean grounds, or see the guys in the arena, or one of our staff running people around the arena to make sure they get to the correct spot at the correct time, or see the guys sorting calves in the back pens, or the pretty smiles of the VIP staff, please remember, it takes all of us to make the Stampede happen, those of us you see, and those you may never see! We can’t thank our crew enough, although we do our best to try! So if you feel inclined to, please thank our crew for volunteering their time! The Stampede just
wouldn’t be possible without all of them!
We are blessed to have a business’ partners that are as community minded as we are! Many of our sponsors have been with us since we started and others over a decade! Our sponsors are loyal to us and believe in us enough to share the Stampede experience with their business friends, and invite them to support us also! We take this as the biggest complement they could give us! Without the financial support of our sponsors, the Stampede would not have the strength to grow the rodeo!
Being a part of the community, gives us the passion to give back to it! We also give back by volunteering our time in other community events. We are proud of the part the Stampede plays in giving back to youth groups, sports teams, medical causes, scholarships, special interested presented year after year. It is our reason for doing the Stampede. We want the community to feel an ownership of the Rodeo. The Board feels that without the backing of the community it would hard to keep moving forward!
The sport of rodeo has a rich history that dates back to the early days of ranching, and has grown out of that history. So its fans have grown through generations. We are so thrilled to have fans that come back year after year! Our goal is to always be working to bring new fans to the Stampede and the sport of rodeo!
