You must be self-conscious intentionally as a lifestyle, ensuring that you do not fall short of the very example that you are projecting and do not fall into traps that detractors would likely set up to undermine you at some point or the other. Those watching you, especially your colleagues, would be looking out for ways to distract you and to undermine your quest.
