We're
Seeking
Aspiring
Writers
Happy 2026! We all know that
TBCBA is a unique, right-sized
group of professionals, and by far
the best Bar Association in Washington.
The publication you are reading comes to
you courtesy of many diverse writing talents
within the Puget Sound legal community.
Our strength as a publication lies in this
diversity. You might suspect, correctly, that
some editions have a surplus of written
materials – legal analyses, editorials and
interest stories to name a few. Other cycles
are leaner, which is where we find ourselves
at this moment. That’s where you come in!
If you are a young lawyer, senior lawyer,
legal professional or anything in between,
we actively welcome your writing input.
What is interesting to you? Is a new legal
strategy, ethical quandary or case analysis
pulsing within? Write to us. Do you have
some editorial ideas regarding the Pierce
County Courts or local politics? An
interesting historical anecdote? We welcome
these and more. The risk is low, as we have a
crack Editorial Board to smooth things out
as necessary. We would like to amass a stock
of choices to publish, this cycle or next, for
the enlightenment and amusement of our
friends and colleagues.
Your writing skills are better than you think!
Send in the reinforcements, and consider
involving yourself in our Editorial Board and
other local bar leadership.
I would love to see your writing; all 2000
of you.
