marketplace, and I consider it to be very reliable. The Fold 6
has a screen on the front of it that you can utilize when it is not
folded and when you unfold it, well, its like you have a tablet
in front of you. The battery is good sized and is fast charging
(I mean it, takes a very short period of time to fully recharge
on the 25W charger). There are 3 cameras on the back, good
memory size and strong processor. But, I will tell you what I
really like about it. When I was on a plane going to visit my
father in the Fall of 2023 (before he passed, of course), that big
screen was great for in-flight movies or work. In fact, I added
a mini keyboard and mouse to the unit (see below #3) and I
can use it to remote into my office computer. Love this tech!
It’s very versatile and useful in my everyday life. Last, it can
use a pen for notes and other scribblings. I bought mine (and
my wife’s) from Verizon when there was a big trade-in sale.
When we traded in, it cost us about $800. I would recommend
looking for a deal like this. The units go for about $1900 full

3. Samsung Fold 6 accessories.
I really can’t talk
about the Fold 6
product without
talking about the
Fold 6 accessories
mentioned above,
specifically, the
Targus Keyboard,
Logitech Pebble
Mouse and
Satechi usb-c
Hub. These three
accessories turn
your Samsung 6 Fold into a laptop type device. It utilizes the
Android operating system, but what I use it for is to connect
remotely to my computer at the office when I am away from
home. The most important element is the Satichi USB-c Hub.
It connects to a monitor via HDMI cable and has extra USB
Ports. Also, you can add a memory card to transfer pictures
and files from your phone. I use it to remote into my computer
at work without having to bring a laptop when I am away to
visit family or at a remote location. Costs? Targus Keyboard:
$44.99; Logitech Pebble Mouse: 24.99; Satechi slim multiport:
79.99. All at bestbuy.com or in the Bestbuy Tacoma store.
4. Litter-Robot.
Hello Litter-Robot,
goodbye cat litter.
I usually add
something for the
pet owners: this year
is no exception. This
item, the “Litter-
Robot” is designed
to handle that nasty
litter from cats doing their thing. And, no, not “Cats” like the
musical, just regular old cats. That reminds me of a memory
from when my kids were young. We did not have pets at our
house (I am not a pet person) and when the kids were little
they would plead, “Daddy, can we have a dog?” with those sad
puppy dog eyes. Not being a pet person, I would say, "Well sure
we can, let’s get a Shih Tsu, and we can name it “Number 2.”
So we never got a dog. Anyway, this cat poop device is quite
clever. It has a rotating drum that rotates the litter over the,
well, droppings. The clean litter goes to where it can be re-used
and the other “clump” goes into a container with a plastic bag
for disposal. It does this automatically and will update you
on your cell phone as to the status of the “fragmen stercore”
(latin for, well you know). Seriously, even if you don’t buy it,
go to the website and watch the demo, it’s really funny! Quite a
clever device. Can be purchased at Litter-Robot.com for $699
Honestly can you really put a price on someone else cleaning
up the cat’s litter? Well worth the money.
5. Limitless Bluetooth Speaker with
10,000mAh Power Bank and Carrying Strap.
This is a power bank and Bluetooth speaker from
Limitless. I have looked at several of these units
and this product is quite good. Battery works as
expected and I utilize the speakers regularly. I
like the battery size of 10,000mAh, its multiple
output ports and the speakers are just excellent!
Can be purchased at Limitlessinnovations.com or
Amazon.com for $59.99.
6. Walkie Talkies Motorola Talkabout T380.
As some of you may know, I am an avid skier. I spend much
time in winter (hopefully more time this year) up at White Pass
getting my “downhill on”. Since my daughter Torie is also an
avid skier, I decided last year to be more aggressive and learn
how to ski harder runs. By the way, that is exactly what you
want to do when you are 60 years old, learn to become a more
