SUPPORT THE BAR AND PAY YOUR 2025 MEMBERSHIP
DUES BEFORE YEAR END: Dues notices for the 2025 year were emailed
in early November. We want to remind all current and past members to pay
your dues early – before year-end. Your courthouse badge TPCBA stickers
expire 12/31/24 and there is no grace period. Don’t wait in those long lines and
deal with the inconvenience of going through the security metal detectors.
Pay now and be courthouse badge ‘stress free’. Pay your dues online at
www.tpcba.com or send in your dues and your sticker will be mailed asap.
NEED A BADGE? Are you new to TPCBA and missed getting a badge?
Make an appointment by emailing director@tpcba.com to have your photo
taken and your new badge issued - takes just 5 minutes. Court security takes
the photos just once per month, so let’s get you on that list and get it done!
THE LRS PROGRAM: When you complete your membership form, sign
up to serve on our Lawyer Referral Panel. Being a LRS panel member helps
those in our community get timely access to experienced attorneys; helps you
and your firm get access to possible new clients, and if your firm is hired 10%
of the fees paid (sent to the TPCBA) helps support and maintain our Lawyer
Referral Service and the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar.
NEED ETHICS CREDITS? Don’t forget TPCBA’s
Annual Ethics CLE on Thursday, December 5th from
11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the Pierce County Courthouse,
Room 533. Watch your email and tpcba.com for details.
BE A TPCBA BOARD MEMBER: Do you want to serve on the TPCBA
Board of Trustees next year? The new year begins at the Lincoln Day
Banquet on Feb. 7. Join Elizabeth Johnson (President 2025),
Catherine Case (Immediate Past President), Trustees
Jessica Campbell, Brad Hashimoto, Michelle Luna, Brenna
Quinlan (Young Lawyers 2025 President) and Rebecca
Reeder (Family Law 2025 President). The open positions for
2025 are: ONE President-Elect, ONE Secretary-Treasurer
and THREE Trustees. Your “Statement of Intent” (see page
39) is due December 31 along with your photo and a short bio
(please watch your word limit) about why your colleagues
should choose you when they vote in January.
2025 FORECAST: Watch your email early in the year
for CLEs and other dates and events to calendar. Plans are
underway for the Lincoln Day Banquet scheduled Friday,
February 7 at the Tacoma Convention Center, so keep an eye
on our website (www.tpcba.com) and check your email for
flyers and details of upcoming activities.
