 Lawyers Helping Hungry Children’s
15th Annual Fundraising Breakfast By Arlene Joe

The event raised close to $55,000 for two grantee organizations selected
this year by the LHHC Board: Red
Barn Youth Center and St. Leo Food Connection. Some 130 attendees joined the breakfast, including social workers, paraprofessionals, attorneys, and judicial officers. Many additional donations came from individuals who could not attend this event.

Despite our best efforts, hunger among children in Pierce County persists. We can stay involved with the simple act of donating food or money to worthy causes who do
the hard work of reducing food insecurity.
The Board members of Lawyers Helping Hungry Children are volunteers committed to keeping their efforts active so that agencies involved with childhood hunger can be sustained by our legal community. We applaud all those who have been involved with donating money and time throughout the years. We encourage more law firms, attorneys, judicial officers and those who care about hungry kids to join us in 2024. Come for breakfast, enjoy the great line-up of speakers, and make a donation that matters.
