LAW LIBRARY NEWS BY STEPHEN SEELY
 WINTER UPDATE:
What does our 2024 year have in store for you at the Law Library? Well we’ve updated the following family law resources:
• Washington Family Law Reporter
• Qualified Domestic Relations Order Handbook, Third Edition
We’ve also added the following updates and new books:
• LexisNexis Practice Guide: Washington Trial and Post-Trial Civil Procedure
• National Veterans Legal Services Program’s Veterans Benefits Manual
• Drug Testing Legal Manual and Practice Aids
• Washington Rules of Court 2024 (Annotated)
• Personal Injury: Actions, Defenses, Damages
As always, you won’t need to travel all
the way to the Law Library to reap the benefits of our books; you can access
our most popular books from anywhere! You will be able to read the books in our digital library from the comfort of your office, kitchen table, or whatever plane, train, or automobile you might find yourself in as you’re traveling. If you have the Internet, then you have your Law Library in your pocket!
In 2024 we will start to focus our digital library’s collection on our most popular books and practice guides by allowing unlimited simultaneous usage. This means no more hold lists. You will never have to wait to use a high-demand book!
Other exciting 2024 news includes: additional Westlaw access as we add an additional Westlaw computer to replace our outgoing Lexis Advance computer and some minor physical changes to the Law Library’s space.
There may be some minor construction in the Law Library’s future as updates
are made to many of the spaces in the County-City Building. We will post any updates on the Law Library’s website as they become available, so please be sure to visit us at www.piercecountylawlibrary. org and check the information banner across the top of our homepage for the most up to date information.
