competence questioned by politicians who might not know
bilge water if they drank it. A USCG officer punched back in
the press suggesting that Kirby ought to stow his forensics. On
information and belief, the fourteen member Barnegat Light
crew saluted their officer and roared, “way hey and up she rises”.
Kirby’s Forensics
“No matter what eyewitness testimony is in the court of law,
it is the lowest form of evidence in the court of science”
- Neil deGrasse Tyson
Kirby never explained what ‘forensics’ he had to impeach the
credibility of the fourteen witnesses from USCG Barnegat
Light. But the allegation that someone mistook a commercial
airplane for a UFO or a drone may be based on a digital
reconstruction of what the night sky looked like at any point
in time from the ground observer’s location and field of view.1
This reconstruction may include the exact location of all stars,
planets, meteors, satellites and celestial phenomenon and all
aircraft flying in the sky with transponders.2 If you know where
the observer was located and where they were looking, you
could determine whether an aircraft, meteor or satellite crossed
their field of view, possibly causing confusion or mistake.
This image depicts the flight paths of all aircraft at a particular point in
time and place with an overlay depicting the ground observer’s line of
sight. The reconstruction shows two aircraft flying due west away from
the observer. Overlays for weather and celestial objects may be added.

FBI MIA
The FBI has excellent forensic capabilities and they are among
the few law enforcement agencies equipped and authorized
to use electronic drone tracking devices. But the Assistant
Director of the FBI Critical Incident Response Group, Robert
Wheeler Jr., did not inspire confidence when he testified before
the Congressional House Committee on Homeland Security on
December 11, 2024, that the FBI had no idea where the drones
came from or who controlled them. When asked if the drones
posed any risk to public safety or national security, Assistant
Director Wheeler gave a confusing answer: “there is nothing

that is known that would lead me to say that, but we just don't
know and that's the concerning part.”
Panic In Year Zero
Mayor suggests New Jersey drones may be linked to
missing radioactive material.3
Drones were seen flying in back-and-forth grid patterns at low
altitude over homes and neighborhoods. People found this very
disturbing and complained loudly. A commercial drone expert
posted a Tik Tok video suggesting that drones have no good
reason to fly grid patterns at night unless they are searching
for someone or something on the ground, like hazardous
gas, chemicals, radiation or explosives. He also said he knew
someone who had warned the government of a stolen nuclear
device allegedly on route to the United States.
On December 13, 2024, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory
Commission (NRC) published a “Source Lost in Transit
Notice” reporting the shipment of a medical device containing
Germanium-68, had arrived at its destination, “damaged and
empty.”4 Shortly thereafter, the Geiger Counter World Map,
published online by Seattle-based GQ Electronics, showed
multiple radiation spikes in New York and New Jersey.5
After a couple of weeks, the loose nuke theory was discredited
and discarded. The missing medical device was discovered
fully intact and the NRC clarified that the tiny amount of
Germanium 68 at issue posed minimal threat. On December
21, 2024, GQ Electronics revealed there had been “malicious
data postings” on its Geiger Counter World Map and explained
that all of data posted on the Map is user submitted and is not
independently verified for accuracy.6

Any lost shipment containing Germanium-68 must be reported to the NRC under
federal law.
