2025 WESTLAKE FOOTBALL PROGRAM
HYLINE HYLINE DIRECTORS DIRECTORS
The Tradition Continues...
Our Hyline family is thrilled to celebrate more
than 50 years of excellence and tradition. The
Westlake High School Dance Department was
created in 1969 and proudly named “Hyline”
by its first line. At that time Westlake High
School had branched off from Austin High
School and Ms. Diana Zuniga made history as
the first team director. Ms. Zuniga was fond
of “Z” words and therefore lovingly named
what would become our dance department’s
annual spring show “Zenith”. Hyline’s uni-
forms have evolved through the years with seven
Lindsay Joe & Madison Cashion
variations of field uniforms complete with show stopping
footwear including 2-inch high heel go-go boots in 1969 and our current western boots seen
on the field today.
The traditional Hyline football entrance is patterned after the esteemed Kilgore College Rangerettes.
Our current directors, Mrs. Joe and Ms. Cashion, both danced for the Kilgore Rangerettes and were also
both captains of their high school teams. Numerous Hyline members have continued to dance in college
and professionally and several Hyline alumni are now dance educators.
Today our varsity drill team includes 38 talented and dedicated young ladies. Our dancers enjoy per-
forming for the Chaps on the field and at pep rallies during football season. The team is currently pre-
paring for their fall show “Spotlight” on November 4th. This spring Hyline will continue the tradition
of excellence as they present their annual showcase “Zenith” on April 16th-18th at 7:30pm in the West-
lake PAC. We are honored to be a part of Friday night lights and the Westlake community. Here’s to 50
more years of dedication and dancing!
Go Hyline…Go Chaps!
