Dear Westlake Chaparral Football Family,
Chap Family, what a ride! We could not think of a more picture perfect finish. Winning State was the icing on the cake, but it started long ago when we were Chap Football kids running around under the bleachers on Friday nights, being memorized by the Homecoming bonfires, and idolizing the high school players and cheerleaders! To say Chap Football has been a large part of our history is an understatement. As fans and then players, we went from Pop Warner, to
7 on 7, to Varsity - as players and volunteers and have gotten so much in return. The friendships and memories will last us a lifetime!
To Margo, Audra and Shannon, you girls did such a great job as team parents. Never were we worried about the sub-varsity teams because they were in great hands!
ONE TEAM has always been our motto - To this year’s Varsity parents we did it together. No deed went unnoticed. If you took on a chair position,THANK YOU! If you donated a case of water, THANK YOU! And, if you stood up and waived your pom pom on 3rd downs, THANK YOU! Each of you made this year so very special for the players and coaches.
Coaches, we can all agree you are pretty remarkable! Your commitment to the X’s and the O’s and to our boys is second to none. Varsity Players, it has been a
pleasure being so involved in what you boys work so hard at: WESTLAKE FOOTBALL! To watch you win a State Championship was amazing. But, to watch you do what it took to get there was more amazing! To show up for 5:30am practices for 5 months straight never complaining and always giving it your best was impressive. Lastly, to see you smile with your friends at team dinners, morning breakfasts, and post game gatherings... priceless.
It was a honor to be the 2019 Team Parents. Once a Chap, Always a Chap!
