Westlake Volleyball Shines in 26-6A All-District Awards
The Westlake volleyball program capped off a remarkable season with a wave of recognition across the 26-6A All-District Awards,
showcasing the depth, talent, and dedication of the team both on and off the court.
Rising Star
• Newcomer of the Year: Geralynn Byers-Veal
Making an immediate impact, Geralynn’s athleticism and poise earned her one of the district’s top honors. Her presence on the court
was felt in every match, setting the tone for future success.
First Team Excellence
Westlake dominated the First Team All-District selections, with six Chaps earning spots:
• Geralynn Byers-Veal
• Chloe Kelly
• Sydney Yohe
• Sunny McWilliams
• Clayton Kelly
• Kyrksen Cook
This powerhouse group reflects the team’s balance of skill, leadership, and relentless drive.
Second Team Standouts
• Kaitlyn Tse and Magdalene Ryan proved their consistency and versatility, earning Second Team honors and solidifying
Westlake’s reputation for depth across the roster.
Honorable Mentions
• Vivian Whitfield, Annabel McDuffee, and Taylor Chorazy were recognized for their contributions and impact, rounding out a strong
showing across all categories.
Academic All-District
Westlake athletes didn’t just shine on the court—they excelled in the classroom. A remarkable 17 players and one manager earned
Academic All-District honors, underscoring the program’s commitment to excellence in every arena:
• Kyrksen Cook, Kaitlyn Tse, Sunny McWilliams, Chloe Kelly, Clayton Kelly, Vivian Whitfield, Tatum Land, Varsha Rachala, Sydney
Yohe, Annabel McDuffee, Aarthi Govindaraj, Heidi Brew, Magdalene Ryan, Taylor Chorazy, Logan Keenan, Geralynn Byers-Veal, and
Noah Hyde (Manager).
