A VIRTUOUS WOMAN
A Tribute to Annis Minerva Hall-Campbell
Proverbs 31:10 reminds us that “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.”
These words perfectly describe the life and legacy of Annis Minerva Hall-Campbell. Born on No-
vember 12, 1939, to the late Walter Hall and Cleavel Musgrove-Hall, Annis’s life is a testament to
strength, grace, and devotion to her faith, family, and community.
Annis’s life is greatly shaped by her deep Christian faith, which she carries with her throughout ev-
ery aspect of her existence. She met and married the Late Great Daniel Emanuel Campbell of Sandy
Point, North Caicos, and their union is blessed with nine children—five sons and four daughters, all
of whom are alive today. Her role as a mother is one of the most defining aspects of her character.
As the matriarch of the family, she nurtures her children with love, patience, and wisdom, guiding
them to become strong, loving individuals, each carrying a piece of her strength and determina-
tion.
In her community, Annis is described as a true servant of God, someone who lives out her faith
in her actions every day. She is one of the founding members of the first Women’s Missionary
Band in Sandy Point, North Caicos, alongside a group of like-minded women, demonstrating
her desire to uplift and serve her community spiritually. Her involvement with the North
Caicos Baptist Association is an extension of this, where she not only serves as a committed
member but also shares her melodious tenor voice as a cherished member of the church
choir. Annis’s love for God and her unwavering faith is evident to all who encounters her.
She is known as a “Prayer Warrior,” someone whose prayers carries great weight, provid-
ing comfort, strength, and hope to those around her.
Annis’s life is marked by her humble beginnings, but her heart for service and her hard
work sets her apart. During her younger years, she sewed straw hats for people in her
community, displaying both skill and resourcefulness. She also worked as a caretaker at
the Sandy Point Clinic, always putting the needs of others above her own and offering
her services to those in need. Whether through her labor or her prayers, Annis is com-
mitted to bettering the lives of others.
Though now a retired widow, Annis remains a vibrant and cherished member of her
community. Blessed with children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons-in-law, and
daughters-in-law, her family is a testament to the legacy of love and faith she has creat-
ed. Her pastimes reflect her deep spiritual connection, as she enjoys reading the Word
of God, watching gospel songs and preachings on television, and participating in the
Caribbean Zoom Prayer Room, where her prayers continue to uplift and inspire.
Annis is a long standing dedicated member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Sandy
Point, where her presence is a pillar of strength. Her journey through life, marked by
unwavering faith, love for her family, and service to her community, embodies the very
essence of a virtuous woman. Her life is a living testimony that the price of a virtuous
woman is, indeed, far above rubies. Proverbs 31 speaks of a woman whose worth is “far
above rubies,” and Annis Minerva Hall-Campbell’s life proves that her worth is immea-
surable.
