eFUNgelism
The Gospel is the greatest message of all time. God gave His Son out of love. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, he gave his life to save you for eternity. A sign was nailed to the top of the cross reading “INRI - Jesus of Nazareth, King of Jews.” This sign must have been a shock to the religious leaders who wanted Jesus crucified. Because in Hebrew letters it reads YHWH, which is probably the most important name of God.
“God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. ... ” Exodus 3:14
None other than Jesus Himself, who gave His life out of love for us in order to reconcile us with God, hung on the cross. On the third day Jesus rose from the dead and conquered the greatest enemy of mankind forever – death. before he died Jesus expressed again what is very important to him:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses ... “ Acts 1:8
We have the greatest message of all time, and Jesus promised us the greatest source of power to proclaim it. His Holy Spirit.
A German newspaper wrote the following right before Easter:
“If Christians believed the sentence, ‘Jesus lives,’ churches would burst with strength, and their mem- bers would run through the streets shouting: ‘God lives! Really, he is alive!’”
