Cold War Espionage Films
• Dozens of movies about spies were released. Many were taken from the writings of John LeCarré, Graham Greene and Sterling Hayden.
• The complex plots filled with duplicity, and moral ambiguity reflected the seedy side of the Cold War where no one could be trusted.
• Hitchcock produced a number of films with spy films including the remake of the 39 Steps, Notorious, and others
• Film Noir continues with more films following the structure, but set in Germany or other locations fraught with Cold War secrets
