Perform Theatre Group
Perform is a drama group based in the heart of Shaw. We are a non profit community group aimed at children from aged 6 right up to adult.
The core aims of the group are to improve children’s confidence through song dance and drama, we do this by putting on two performances a year for the public. We have an open door policy for new members with no audition process necessary. Everyone is welcome regardless of ability or experience. We want to bring the community together and leave a positive impact on people’s lives.
We meet every Friday night from 6:30 - 8:00 at St Pauls Church on Rochdale road. The cost per child is
£3 with the first session free. We provide a fun, safe environment for all the children with each adult being DBS checked. Our shows provide all members with the opportunity to further their confidence and show what they can do. All profits from the show go straight back into the group in order to continue supporting our members and keep the group going for the kids and the community. The community plays a massive part in who we are. Our shows are supported by local businesses and this year have scenery painted by the students at Oldham college.
So What’s Next?
We are currently in the process of rehearsals for our next show ‘Robinson Crusoe’ which will be performed in February 2018. Our shows full of hit songs to sing along to and fun for all ages. A great way to bring in the new year and celebrate all the achievements for friends, family and loved ones.
