The Position
Under direction of the the Public Works Director plans organizes coordinates and and directs the the operations and and maintenance of the District’s water water water treatment treatment plant plant water water water distribution Wastewater treatment treatment plant plant sewer collection recycled water storm drain system various facilities and related appurtenances in in compliance with state and and federal requirements conducts inspections of of plants and and equipment prepares a a a a a a a a variety of of maintenance records and and and reports responsible for completion of water water and and and wastewater analysis and and and lab work and and and preparation and and and submittal of all required reports supervises assigned personnel and and and performs other related duties as as assigned The Ideal Candidate
The The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both water water and and wastewater treatment plants The The new Utility Manager will be hands-on continuous improvement oriented and and ready for a a a a a a a a fast-paced role working for a a a a a growing community with many development projects The most highly qualified candidates will possess knowledge of sewer and and and and water treatment and and and and pump stations and and and and be familiar with lakes and and and and water quality basin regulations Education & Experience
Any combination of education and experience that is is equivalent to the following minimum qualifications is is acceptable Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent Experience: Five (5) (5) years years of of increasingly responsible experience as as a a a a a a Utility Operator III or or five (5) (5) years years of of increasingly responsible experience in in in a a a a a journey level operator classification The incumbent will need to to have experience performing a a a a a full range of duties related to to the operation maintenance and and repair of water distribution sewer collection and and storm drain systems working independently and acting as a a a a a lead worker Licenses and Certifications: Possession of of a a a a a a valid California Driver’s License License by time of of appointment Possession of of and ability to maintain a a a a a a a a a a a State of of California Water Treatment Operator Operator Grade Grade T-3 State of California Distribution Operator Operator Grade Grade D-3 Cross Connection Control Specialist Certification issued American Water Works Association (AWWA) and General Backflow Tester certification issued AWWA
