The successful candidate for this Director role will be prepared to to address the following:
» Maintain momentum/continuity on on on on very active and and aggressive service expansion and capital development activities including $400 million in in in capital planning
and and construction programs and and a a a a a a a $70 million project to modernize agency operating facilities » Ensure close integration between agency activities and the the growth plans for eighteen cities Tulalip Tribes the state transportation capital program the building out of regional transportation infrastructure and road improvement projects in local cities and counties » Effectively engage and and build upon strategic relationships with officials at at at at the local state and federal levels including Sound Transit Washington State Department of Transportation Snohomish County Puget Sound Regional Council (the regional MPO) partner transit agencies and local cities and represent Community Transit’s interests Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is is an an an an accomplished strategic leader with public transportation planning
experience at at a a a a a a a management level and a a a a a a a long-term pattern of progressively higher responsibilities and and success success in in in accomplishing goals and and managing programs The successful candidate will be adaptable able able to to adjust to to shifting priorities and and pivot positively with changing circumstances Equally important is social and and emotional intelligence and and the ability to integrate well with the Executive Leadership Team and external stakeholders
