of civil engineering work in in in in in connection with with SJAFCA’s flood flood risk reduction and flood flood management projects with with multi-benefit opportunities The position involves planning scheduling funding directing coordinating and and controlling all aspects of the the work including coordination with other disciplines as as as well as as as internal and and external agencies to ensure coherent project execution
As a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a member of of of SJAFCA’s management team the the the the Executive Executive Executive Project Manager
carries out the the the the the directions of of of of the the the the the SJAFCA SJAFCA SJAFCA Board of of of of Directors
in in in support of of of the the the the the the SJAFCA SJAFCA SJAFCA Executive Executive Executive Director Director Director and and serves as as as the the the the the the acting Executive Executive Executive Director Director Director when assigned Serving as as as the the the the the primary liaison between SJAFCA SJAFCA and and and the the the the the agencies/ contractors working on on on on on current and and and future projects the the the the the Executive Project Manager
will have responsibility for ensuring the the the the project project team and and and consultants are successful in in in in in meeting their deadlines and and and deliverables This position position is is classified as as an an an an an “Exempt” position position under the the the the requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act The The Executive Project Manager
must be highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and and a a a a a a a a a commitment to to working in in in a a a a a a a a a positive and and team environment The The person person hired for this position is is expected to:
» Plan direct and and manage the the the activities of of an an an an an an engineering team including the the the work of of internal staff and and the the technical consultants retained by SJAFCA » Oversee and and coordinate the preparation of detailed engineering plans and and specifications
» Analyze difficult problems identify alternative solutions project consequences of of of proposed actions develop a a a a a a a a a positive course of of of action action and implement recommendations in support of of goals
» Research and and and and and interpret applicable federal and and and and and state rules and and and and and regulations as as well as as SJAFCA policies policies Interpret and and and and and and apply the policies policies procedures laws codes and and and and and and regulations pertaining to programs and and functions
» Represent SJAFCA effectively in in contacts with elected and and other other officials representatives of of other other agencies and and the the the public occasionally in in in situations where relations may be difficult or strained
» Demonstrate sound professional judgment reason logically and think creatively
