The ideal candidate will be an an an an an an an experienced parks parks maintenance professional who understands the the the important and and and and unique role that regional parks parks play in in the the the health and and and and wellness of of the the the communities we we serve The The Chief of of Maintenance and and Skilled Trades is an an an an an invaluable member of of the EBRPD’s Operations management management team The The successful candidate will will be be able able to build strong working relationships with peers across departments and and and and and divisions and and and and and will will will possess superior personnel management management skills skills and and and and and experience The Chief of of of of MAST will will will demonstrate a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a deep knowledge of of of of applicable professional and and and and and and technical skills skills necessary for the the maintenance of of of of EBRPD’s facilities roads and and and and and trails and and and and and equipment This person will will lead by example remain visible and and and and approachable to to their their staff promote a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a positive work work environment and and and and motivate an an an an an extremely diverse set of skilled trade workers to to to excel in in in in in their their their craft Concurrently they will work work seamlessly with their their colleagues in in in in in administration planning operations and and public safety to to to provide a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a rich heritage of natural cultural and and open space resources to residents in in in in the the East Bay The Chief of of of of MAST must demonstrate superb project project management expertise for the planning acquisition and and delivery of of of of of a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a large number of of of of of projects that impact every employee and and user of of of of of the the the the Park District’s District’s facilities It is is is is therefore critical for for the the the the Chief of of of of MAST to to to possess a a a a a a a a a a a a a a customer-focused mindset to to to efficiently deliver services and effectively meet the the the Park District’s District’s goals Finally the the Chief of MAST will have experience in in in in in in in fiscal management ranging from budgeting purchasing and contracting that best allocates resources necessary to achieve objectives in in in in in in in the the Park District’s Master Plan 6
