■ Essential Duties and Responsibilities
» Support and oversight of of federal funding within one of of OSPB’s three Resource Management Teams: Policy Budget or Tax and Economic Development
» Provide direct support to to one of OSPB’s Deputy Directors by assisting with special projects requests for analysis team coordination and other specific needs as identified by the Deputy Budget Analysis
» Develop broad expertise on on assigned team’s department budgets operations and federal funding » Review team’s departments’ various federal fund fund budget requests and make recommendations in in coordination with other team members to to to the the OSPB Director Director and and Deputy Directors as as well as as the the the Governor and and Senior Staff
» Respond to to to questions from OSPB’s Director Director and and Deputy Directors the Governor Governor Governor’s Office leadership legislators and and legislative staff on on team’s departmental budgets and and operations particularly in in relation to federal funding » Ensure accurate tracking of team’s departments’ budget requests and and appropriations using existing systems and and databases particularly in in in in relation to federal funding Policy Analysis
» Recommend strategies to implement the Governor’s budget priorities including partnering with the legislative branch
Federal Funds Oversight
» Work with OSPB’s Chief of Federal Federal Funds Funds to:
• Analyze how American Rescue Plan funds
received by departments are allocated (federal fund spend plans) and how they interact with the the assigned team’s department annual budgets • Make recommendations to to to the the Governor and OSPB Director on on the the the use of federal funds
to to to support the the Governor’s and departmental priorities • Understand how much of the ARP funds
a a a a a department has received have been spent
• Understand whether the the intended or actual allocation of ARP funds
complies with with federal guidance and aligns with with Governor’s priorities • Be able to to answer questions regarding all ARP funds
related to to their departments » Work with team to to counsel assigned department department on means of addressing programmatic needs » Work with team to counsel departments in in in in in the drafting of requests for changes in in in in funding » Work with with departments to assess data and and evidence associated with with department department programs and and and develop performance objectives and measures
» Participate in special projects to improve the management of State operations General
» Make continuous effort to improve operations streamline processes and and work cooperatively and and jointly to to provide quality customer service
» » Participate in in project teams as required
» » Participate Participate in in conferences and workshops as as required
» Other duties as requested and required

» Recommend program or or or policy changes to improve performance and / or or or service
delivery in assigned areas
» Track ongoing legislation during the legislative session identify potential issues or concerns and recommend solutions
» Conduct research into assigned issue areas
and prepare briefings as as necessary
» Monitor and and provide written summaries of JBC meetings/hearings and and other legislative meetings/ meetings/ hearings » Work with the Governor’s Policy team and a a a a a a diverse group of external stakeholders to develop policy solutions
