    2009 PROTOTYPES | TARGET
The photographs shown here were taken at the first two stores completed with the new 2009 de- sign upgrades. The updated 2009 store design was well received by communities, customers, and Target’s senior leadership.
To save construction costs and time the former prototypical CMU (Concrete Masonry) wall con- struction was generally replaced with precast wall systems including integral thin brick finishes al- lowing for a more cost effective system that significantly reduced on site construction time.
