Sylver Logan Sharp, former lead
singer of the legendary group CHIC, is poised to top
the charts again with her latest CD, The Groovement, recorded
LIVE in Stockholm, Sweden! The re-release of the first single and video Little Things debuted
LIVE at MIDEM 2015 in Cannes France. Her soon to be released
CD, The Groovement, was created and produced in
collaboration with impresario,
producer/pianist and music
director, Daryl L.A. Hunt and a little help
from our Swedish family.
As the Voice Of CHIC for 20 years, Sylver toured the US, Europe, Japan, the UK and
performed at Night of the Proms with the orchestra, Il Novencento, Montreux Jazz Festival, Hollywood Bowl, The Paradise, the Budokan, Osaka Jo Hall and even Blue Note in Japan!
Her CHIC discography includes: CHIC-ism, CHIC, Le Freak and More Treats, CHIC, the Definitive Grove and the DVDs, CHIC, Live at The Budokan, CHIC, Live at Montreux and CHIC, Live in Amsterdam and Carlos Santana’s Hymns
for Peace.
Her TV appearances include VH-1 Storytellers, Larry The Cable Guy’s Christmas Special and Ellen with Kid Rock as well as numerous entertainment shows in Italy on the Rai TV network and Norway. Circa 2005, she also topped the dance music charts with
her #1 Billboard Hit - All This Time, written by Richard Bush and produced by Jonathan Peters.
While in Sweden, Sylver
appeared on
The Malou Van Sivers Show, TV4’s
Sommerkryset TV Show as a featured artist and performed a duet with Swedish music royalty, Magnus Carlsson. She ROCKED at
acclaimed jazz
venue, Fasching in Stockholm and she gave a “little pre-debut” of
Little Things at the Juu Jaab Music Festival in Estonia July 2013. After a few years of writing,
recording and producing the music videos for this new CD, Sylver kicked off
2016 to a full house for her “pre-release” concert at Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club in January debuting her latest single and video, Find Me, from The Groovement CD. Crossing many genres, R&B, pop, jazz, gospel, blues, Sylver is also known for her amazing a cappella magic in the moment. She’s also a animal lover and dog mom! Sylver’s voice and namesake jewelry line, SYLVERWEAR, keep her in the company of "who's who".
She has performed and/or recorded with Yolanda Adams, Patti Labelle, Michael Bolton, Roberta Flack, Ledisi, Whoopi Goldberg to
name a few. Her SYLVERWEAR clients include Omar Hakim, Nile Rodgers, Sir Elton John and Chaka Khan to name a few more. Sylver’s first solo cd, Place To Begin, is also co-produced and co-written with Daryl L.A. Hunt, this blend of musicality and funk is an independent masterpiece. Stay Tuned . . . for
