OWNER SUBMISSIONS APP FOR THAT Chief
by Kasia Burroughs
My name is Kasia Burroughs, I have been riding since I was six years old. That’s when I got my fist pony, Hawkeye’s Loco Poco. He was my start into everything hors- es. We did 4H, pony club, fox hunter, and all around showing. He passed away at my farm at the age of 37. I have owed many horses since my start from appy, quarter horses and thoroughbreds. My second Appaloosa was a rescue, Sugar Foot Spider, was bought off a slaughter truck by my best friend’s mother and then handed over to my mother and I. We did Eventing, 4H and Pony Club. He was partially blind too, which amazed people with how well he would do cross country. Chief is my most current Appaloosa, he is not registered like the two listed above, he was also a rescue, but he is a PMU nurse mare foal. He is now 18 years old, my best friend is leasing him from me, but I still get to use him for my jousting career, since my OTTB would jump out of his skin. He has been a jumper with me up to 3’, and done eventing as well as dressage prior to the joust life, which he loves. He is so eager to gallop down the lyst to hit the Quintain!! By the way, he is only 14.3 hands.
