Odds & Ends
Kids need to stay mentally and physically active during the summer!
The end of the year can cause parents to panic. It does not matter if you are
working full-time or at home with the kids—the fears are the same. You do
not want your kids spending their entire summer in front of the television or
playing video games. Parents can keep their children’s minds stimulated by
trying a variety of activities:
Ask Ms. Seye for summer packets so your child practices the literacy skills
learned throughout the school year.
Make reading a daily habit. Register for Maricopa County Library District’s
Summer Reading program. It’s free!
Enroll your child in a summer enrichment program. Schools, libraries,
communities, and local churches sponsor events and activities.
Use the television as a resource. Make educational programs part of your
child’s routine.
Enroll your child entering kindergarten in August 2019 in the Litchfield Park
Preschool’s Kindergarten Summer Bridge Program, offering AM & PM
classes for June and July sessions/camps.
