If I am asymptomatic or have a mild case of COVID-19, what exercise routine should I follow at home?
If you are tested positive for COVID-19 you need to remain self-isolated until such time that you are tested negative or your doctor advises that you are able to break the isolation.
Consult with your doctor before exercising, and follow the guidelines:
Exercise can help you feel better by opening up your nasal passages, and if you’re only experiencing symptoms above the neck – such as a runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion or a sore throat, you can exercise in moderation. For example, go for a walk instead of running.
If you have a fever, body aches, fatigue, a stomach-ache or a hacking cough – you should rather recover in bed.
As you recover, go slow as you return to exercise, and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Remember to wipe off equipment including bikes, weights, benches and yoga mats whenever you exercise.
Exercise guidelines call for 150 minutes of exercise per week. If you encounter any additional pain or symptoms when you exercise, consult with your doctor.
