APRIL’S SUN
April’s sun has come with
an invitation to stop the
race, to pause the war. Spring has
shot me in the back, and laid me on the ground.
This mountain of quarantine life has become a carnage of empty hours and naked bodies full of fear. I have fallen down the abyss, bending down to look for you girls at the bottom.
But the breeze has made me look back at the sky, reminding me that there are still smiles that speak of faith, that arise from the same life, from that same mountain, that in their seclusion give light to those that feel tired and isolated.
That take away the fear of saying: I miss you
