Heartbeat is very proud to be celebrating its 40th Anniversary with today’s Festival. It represents the holistic nature of Wellbeing in its broadest sense.
Some of today’s speakers will be focussing on Mental Health, others on the effect of nature upon our psychological state. We’ll also be sharing the joys of sport and outdoor recreation with activities for old and young alike. All of these can affect the health and wellbeing of our hearts - and a prime focus of Heartbeat is to help people avoid cardiovascular disease in the first instance.
Our Mindful Zone will help to take you away from the stresses and strains of everyday life through Yoga, Pilates, Meditation and Tai Chi - or you can take part in a “Reading the World” workshop.
The many stalls on offer also reflect the different aspects of wellbeing - with some appealing to the soul, others to the mind but all hoping that you leave us today feeling that you’ve benefited and become a “new you”.
You’re also invited to try a range of succulent street food from a range of countries - some of which you may not have tried before but are very tasty!
Our thanks go to the Stallholders, Speakers and above all our sponsors: UCLan, Pro-Fit Training, Leyland Round Table, Campbells Caravans, John Robinson Building Contractors, Facer Pharmacy and our media partner Thrive magazine. In particular, our thanks to Ashbridge School & Nursery, a corporate supporter of Heartbeat, for the use of their site, facilities and team to hold our festival.
Whatever your reasons for coming here today, we hope you have a fabulous time and thank you for supporting Heartbeat in its 40th Anniversary Year.
A WARM WELCOME
