2014 has seen lots of wonderful developments in our Pastoral Care program with the whole school embracing some exciting new projects. So Safe! has been a huge success and students have explored important concepts in the sessions with their homeroom teachers. A massive highlight was the launch of the Breathe Easy program, particularly the opening of the Breathe Easy room. I know lots of students have loved having a space to go where they can relax when emotions become difficult to manage, and all students have benefited from practising the Breathe Easy strategies. Our mentoring programs with Mount St Benedicts and Knox Grammar have been a great way for the students to connect and develop positive relationships with their peers. We’ve also continued to enjoy our successful buddy program, house groups and some fantastic student-led assemblies. A big congratulations to our school student leadership team, and also to all the recipients of Eddie’s Best awards. What a great year!
