To help ensure the panel is kept free
of undue influence, its makeup is not published. The details of the panel, including meeting time / place and award recipients are minuted and kept with other documents required to be maintained by the Centre.
This table shows the awards available to be determined.
In the early years of some awards, there were no judging criteria supplied to the panels to assist. In subsequent years,
and for some of the later awards, a basic framework has been developed that helps the panel narrow down the candidates to a few finalists. Using these frameworks can occasionally produce an unexpected result, however the Centre strives to stay broadly true to the original intention of the award founders. The Committee’s decision is final.
Financial Contribution – Two awards (John Antill Scholarship & McFadden Community Engagement) provide a direct financial contribution to the recipient(s). The amounts are determined by the Executive Committee each year and take into consideration the current financial position of the Centre and the type of support requested by the recipients. Contributions but have remained similar over the past few seasons.
