                 Wellbeing at St Gabriel’s
The wellbeing of our students is our primary concern and the school encourages and promotes positive behaviour and respectful relationships, building social and emotional skills in a caring and supportive environment. Through a School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) approach to the teaching and management of student behaviour combined with a strong Pastoral Care Program based on the ‘Friendly Schools Plus!’ framework, students explore and learn five key areas: Self-awareness, Self-management, Social Awareness, Relationship skills and Social decision–making.
Equally important is the wellbeing of our families and many opportunities are available to encourage parents to listen to each other, share challenges, and importantly learn from other’s experiences. Events arranged by the school such as our Parent Group meetings and social gatherings are held regularly to provide support and build community.
“ When we first visited St Gabriel’s School we were inspired by its strong sense of acceptance and community.”
