In all his Glory
Ascension: ascend – to go or come up
We don’t always lift ourselves.

         The Ascension
(based on Acts of the Apostles Chapter 1)
After Jesus rose from the dead, he stayed on earth for 40 days, visiting his disciples and talking to them. He said to them, “Go and teach all people what I have taught you, but wait in Jerusalem until I send the Holy Spirit.”
Jesus then led them up a hill and blessed them. He reminded his disciples of their promise to carry on his work. As the disciples watched, God lifted Jesus up
to the clouds and into Heaven     with his Father and the Holy Spirit was ready to help the disciples on earth.
By taking him to Heaven, God was giving Jesus His
          
present to all people at all times.
