                    Staff Milestones
Evelyn Aravena is an Assistant Nurse at our Guildford home and this year celebrates 40 years with Hardi Aged Care!
As you can imagine, she has seen many changes over the 40 years, from being one of only three assistant nurses and two registered nurses that between them cared for 120 residents... and with all paper records and no computers to assist!
When asked why she got into nursing originally, she said, "I want to help people, I love to care for others and I love the team I work with. They all call me 'mum' instead of Evelyn. In fact, when I was asked by a long term resident why don't I retire, I said no, I don't want to do that, I love my job!"

Behrooz Arzani celebrates 27 years as an assistant nurse with Hardi Aged Care this year.
Like Evelyn, he decided to get into nursing because he gains great satisfaction from making a difference in people's lives.
He enjoys the sense of community that comes from working at Guildford, as well as the atmosphere.
Over the years he says that the most notable changes he has seen are, "The expanded formal medical training programs, as well as the advancement in technology making patient care more efficient."
He says that education for nurses has been significantly enhanced and that nurses these days are far more educated than they were in the past.
On behalf of Hardi Aged Care, thank you Evelyn and Behrooz for all your wonderful years of service to Hardi Guildford.
