DIRECTOR OPERATIONS
Our 84th season is now over and by any measure this been successful. During the season a lot of effort has gone into completing a demographic analysis and developing strategies for our future.
What this shows is that since 2001 our local population has been ageing with the population mix changing. It is becoming harder to hold numbers in the face of declining numbers of young people and the increasingly diverse population. In this context this season has been a season of achievement.
This season we entered the following Teams:
• 103 Kanga’s despite an U8 Division that in the past, played Kanga • 42 Girls (32 T20 blast and 9 Breakers League)
• 31 Junior Teams with 19 Teams between U8s and U11s)
• 12SeniorTeams
All up this is approximately 710 registered players.
Vale Phillip Hughes
This season we saw the tragic loss of Phillip Hughes through the tragic accident at the SCG. Across Australia recognition was given to Phillip through many gestures. Everyone from across our Club joined in this national day of mourning. The following photos capture the moment in our Club.

Schools Development day
We have a great relationship with our local schools – Cherrybrook Public, Oakhill Drive, St Agatha’s and WPH Public Schools who supported us in running our Schools Cricket Development days at the beginning of the season. The Program introduced cricket to over 1,000 children with many who chose to play Kanga with us this season.
Thank you to our great coaches who have run these Programs:
Nigel Blow, Graham Chivers, Daniel Anderson, Nikki O’Meara, Riley Miedler, Jack Greenwood, Ankit Grover, Hazza Norrell, Joel and Riley Behlevanas, Daniel Fiedler.
Pink Stumps Day
In what is now becoming a season highlight our U9s ran the Glenn McGrath Pink Stumps Day fund raising. Congratulations to Joseph’s Cooray’s Team who raised a fabulous $6,800 for this great cause. The event was held on Saturday 7th March at Cherrybrook Public School and involved a series of double headers between our 6 Teams.
