Jr Mixed Report
Another amazing season with 45 teams participating across Junior Mixed and Girls Competitions.
From U12s and above, our teams play ‘competitive’ cricket and throughout these age groups we had strong representation yet again this season with Seven teams competing in Semi Finals.
A huge shout out to all those teams competing in Semi Finals and Finals – whatever the result, a terrific effort.
Special congratulations to our Premiership winning Teams - U12 Gold, U13 Gold.
This again highlights the ‘Participation over Results’ ethos of our Club. The fact that we had so many young players out there enjoying their cricket in sides that have grown organically and without any grading of individuals shows that every single player is a contributor to this success.
Of course, this is all developed during through the younger age groups and to see so many teams registered in the ‘non-competitive’ U8 – U11 age groups and have so much positive feedback about how much the kids love their cricket says so much for all of the work and effort that goes into every single match day from Parents and carers – the lifeblood of the Club.
It is special for me each year to see these youngsters at Presentation Day sharing in their successes and hearing the stories that success for everyone is not about runs or wickets but may well be as simple as being part of the team.
To see so many returning each year and so excited for each new season is really what makes this Club so special, and I trust brings joy not only to the kids, but to all those Parents and carers who give so much.
Outstanding Achievement Awards
Each season we award a number of perpetual trophies for Outstanding Achievement. There are always several worthy players and it is always a difficult task to select just one player for each category. All those nominated should be especially proud to have been considered as they have all contributed greatly.
