YOUTH AND TEEN PROGRAMS
Snaps: Writer’s Workshop
Snaps is a brand new creative writing workshop and performance series for middle
and high schoolers! Workshops will foster students’ self-expression, creativity and confidence, empowering writers of all skill levels to find and explore their poetic voice. Each week students will be guided through generative writing exercises and prompts which hold space for their stories, allowing them to respond to the world around them. After 6 weeks of building community, generating material, and helping each other polish our first drafts, poets will have the opportunity to perform at the first ever SCH Snaps open mic! The only rules are: there are no wrong answers and the standard is yourself.
