ADVANTAGES AND APPLICATIONS OF METALS HAIR TESTING
Metals Hair Testing offers various benefits and applications in clinical practice:
1. Identifying whether metal toxicity or mineral deficiency contributes to a disorder (8).
2. Monitoring the effects of chelation therapy (removal of heavy metals from the body) (9).
3. Assessing whether supplementation of essential minerals could lead to significant improvements in a patient's health (10).
SAMPLE REQUIREMENTS
Hair samples for the Hair Test should be sourced from the head or pubic area. A minimum of 0.25 grams (approximately 1 tablespoon) of hair is required, but 1 gram is preferred (11).
