Introducing a traditional neighborhood development (unheard of at the time in this market) with smaller homesites, shared parks and open space meant we needed to rethink the entire process. We knew we had to have an extraordinary vision that potential builders, realtors and homeowners would buy into.
Our initial goal was to educate and target market (builders, realtors and potential buyers) sharing the benefits of building, selling and living in a traditional neighborhood development. Our strategy included national competitive shops for potential builders, realtor seminars selling their buyers on a TND and agressive marketing to potential buyers. Our first major neighborhood event, over a weekend, produced 50 home sales. Within months Bedford became the the top-selling community in the Triangle.
