violently break out. That is, you have to break your lover’s heart, or cheat, or tell them you never want to see them again.
It would seem in a rational age that this aspect of the fundamentalism would be replaced by a relatively peaceful changing of the relationship to something less intense, but still close. Hopefully you are good friends with your lover. That means if the physical love stops there’s still plenty of mental attraction left to nurture. This means that the whole idea of winners and losers
in relationships changes. So that few people would lose their love completely, but just have it change forms. Few would totally lose the major log in their support system, but only have it change shape.
IX. Sex is evil and a sin outside of marriage---
To the those who don’t follow the Bible literally, this fundamentalism sounds fairly antiquated. It got started within the first few weeks of the existence of humanity, if the story of Adam and Eve is to be believed, or even taken as a metaphorical truth. Once those randy two bit the apple from the tree of knowledge...
