Your job or avocations, your friends and family, and your leisure activities are your indisputable meanings. They could be director of a non-profit to help the homeless, CEO of a major corporation, clerk, construction worker, hiker, extended family cultivator, or art-gallery crawler and wine sommelier. Or they
can be insurance salesman, keeper of the dog and two cats, your Presbyterian church, your tennis game, your garden (especially those prize-winning irises.) Those are all great and meaningful victories over meaninglessness!
No, I’m not talking about this type of meaning. I’m talking about cosmic meaning, inherent meaning in our universe.
For instance, governments often impose their own meanings. Aztec governments thought human sacrifice was pretty meaningful. Americans like to think that human rights are. The thousands of government
