incenter
The incenter of a triangle is the intersection of all three bisectors of the angles. It is the center of the incircle.
incircle
The circle inside a triangle that is tangent to all three side. Its center is the incenter.
independent events
Independent events are two events from the same experiment for which the probability of one event is not aUected by whether the other event occurs or not.
inscribed
We say a polygon is inscribed in a circle if it Rts inside the circle and every vertex of the polygon is on the circle. We say a circle is inscribed in a polygon if it Rts inside the polygon and every side of the polygon is tangent to the circle.
inscribed angle
Given two points on a circle, an inscribed angle is the angle formed by the two lines draw from those points to a third point on the circle.
kite
A quadrilateral which has two sides next to each other that are congruent and where the other two sides are also congruent.
line of symmetry
A line of symmetry for a Rgure is a line such that reSection across the line takes the Rgure onto itself.
median (geometry)
A line from a vertex of a triangle to the midpoint of the opposite side.
oblique
A prism, pyramid, or cone is oblique if it is leaning at an angle with respect to its base.
parabola
A parabola is a curve determined by a given point and a given line. It is the set all points that are the same distance from the given point as from the given line.
