   Hello from your Legislative Committee!
What did we do to 2019 to deserve this version of 2020? Regardless, your Legislative Committee is working hard with the help of NAA and the other Kentucky based apartment associations to protect our industry. This was hard enough prior to COVID-19.
From a broad view, I think we all agree that our local officials have done a solid job trying to mitigate this virus as much as possible. Unfortunately, a few challenges have been created through this effort that requires navigation.
Please subscribe to Stephen Marshall’s kylandlordlaw.com website for the most up to date information
at the state and local levels. NAA is also doing an excellent job in Washington making sure that stimulus programs include Multi-Family Housing interests.
Some of the issues the Legislative Committee are discussing currently include: Rent Strike 2020
Stimulus and our Industry
Evictions - including emergency evictions
Legislative assistance locally if needed for recovery
If you have any questions, feel free to contact myself or any member of the Legislative Committee.
