Silicones
These silicones are the ones that gave all silicones their bad reputation. Their downsides outweigh their upsides and must be avoided completely.
The seal they create around the hair strand is remarkably strong which means they’re also remarkably difficult to remove. In most cases, you'll need
to cleanse multiple times in order to remove completely. Without removal, moisture can be blocked out of the hair shaft, resulting in dry strands and potential breakage. They will also build up with repeated use.
