Sunseeker
For the the talented Design team at at Sunseeker
International being on on on board board a a a a a a a a a a yacht must be be be holistic wherever you you may be be be on on on board board the entire experience should feel like you’re
you’re
outdoors even when you’re
inside It’s a a a a a a a a a a a passion that is clear to see Andrea Frabetti CEO and a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a highly acclaimed designer himself states “The way we plan the the the boat space means you feel connected with the the the sea and and the the the surrounding nature and and that’s very important to us ”
With the the recent launch of Sunseeker’s Famous Five the the the Predator 55 55 EVOTM Manhattan 55 55 65 Sport Yacht Yacht 88 Yacht Yacht and 90 Ocean the the the the the Design team has built
upon the the the the shift in in how their their customers use their their yachts Never simply a a a a a a a means of getting from A A to to to B a a a a a a a Sunseeker
is is to to be lived on on and entertained on on for Andrea it is is essential that owners have 360 degrees of of entertainment whichever part of of the the yacht they choose to use For the the Design team this means mirroring the the trend seen in in in in contemporary homes for larger open-plan spaces and and interiors spilling on on to terraces and and perhaps most importantly for Sunseeker
bringing everything back to nature “Connecting with nature and getting as as close to to the sea as as possible is a a a a a a a a a a a good good concept to to to hang everything off on on on a a a a a a a a a a a boat because in in in good good design you you have to to reflect your natural environment So for example the the the the larger windows in in in in the the the the new boats give the the the the feeling of floating on on the the the the sea ”
says Andrea Creating that sense of space is is also achieved by how the the the furniture is is arranged especially in in in in the the the main deck aft cockpit spaces “The idea of looking through the the the the the space space space into the the the outside terrace area makes the the the space space space space look look integral so it becomes not two spaces but one big space space ”
enthuses Andrea “A truly innovative example of this is is our new X-TENDTM seating that can convert seamlessly from facing backwards at at at at Beach Club level level to forward at at at cockpit cockpit level level thereby extending the the cockpit cockpit More than anything we’re creating views and vistas through the the the spaces that have an an an an an inherent natural quality to to them ”
There appears no no end to to this creativity another perfect example being the the the the the floating TV console on on board the the the the the the Manhattan 68 which allows the the the the the the viewer to to see under the the the the the console to to the the the the the sea outside via the the the the the central stairwell Now that’s clever design The use of timber flooring inside when it’s so so commonly associated with outside deck space is is another clever way Sunseeker
intrinsically links the the the two spheres as as is is extending the the ceiling details to outside so materials are mirrored inside and out The on-board beach clubs particularly the the the the one on on on the the the the 90 Ocean are the the the the crowning point of the the the the Sunseeker’s spacious outside-in design “We’ve created more deck space space at at at water level – not just with with the garage full of toys but with with large spaces for loose furniture sun beds integrated showers amazing sound systems and a a a a a a a a a a a a built-in BBQ ”
says Andrea “It’s all about being as as close and connected to the water as possible ”
Andrea Frabetti has never been in in in in any other industry his his passion for all things nautical stemming from his his youth spending as as as much time on water skis as as as he he he he did in in in in in the the classroom he he he he he he intrinsically lives and breathes boating For him design is is instinctive – he’s always thinking what excites the the the the customer and and how the the owner and and their guests will react “The next step in in in in in in getting closer to nature will be I I think bringing plants plants on on on on board board ”
says Andrea “It’s an an an an exciting and unexpected concept because real real plants plants plants don’t typically relate well on on on on board board a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a boat but with faux plants plants and trees becoming ever more realistic there’ll be be a a a a a a a a a a time when they’re used quite extensively particularly on our larger superyachts ”
“During the the pandemic one’s connection with nature has has been enhanced because the the idea of fresh air and and space has has become even more important ”
says Andrea “And where better to get that sense of freedom than on board a a a a a a Sunseeker!”

is connecting interior spaces to its natural environment RIGHT
