Angkor’s temples and Siem Reap’s Phare Cambodian Circus were just some of the local cultural treasures to kindle the imagination of acclaimed short story writer Nam Le during his stay at Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor. Inspired by Cambodia’s past and present, he adopts the form of the modern fable to tell a poignant tale that is as mysterious and beautiful as the country itself.
